Luciano D’Amico named center-left candidate for Chieti by-election

Luciano D’Amico has been officially announced as the center-left and progressive coalition candidate for the upcoming Chamber of Deputies by-election in the Chieti constituency (uninominal college 01). The elections are scheduled for November 15 and 16.

Regional secretaries of the coalition forces described D’Amico as a unifying figure capable of coordinating with local mayors and representing the territory's interests. His platform focuses on several key pillars, including economic development for the Abruzzo region, combating youth brain drain through enhanced study rights and technical education, and supporting local businesses via Industry 5.0 funds to facilitate ecological transition.

Additionally, D’Amico’s campaign emphasizes strengthening public health services, specifically calling for the reinforcement of the Chieti hospital, the specialization of facilities in Lanciano and Vasto, and the expansion of local medical districts.
