Luciano Donadio, Casalesi clan leader, arrested in Vicenza

Luciano Donadio, a 60-year-old leader of a Casalesi clan faction based in eastern Veneto, has been arrested in Vicenza. Donadio had been a fugitive since October 6 and faces a 30-year prison sentence.

The arrest was coordinated by the Venice Mobile Squad with support from the Central Operative Service and the Caserta Mobile Squad, under the direction of the Venice Public Prosecutor's Office. Investigations utilized significant interception activities to track the fugitive.

Authorities determined that Donadio intended to surrender at the Vicenza prison to meet his son, who is also serving an arrest warrant. This intention allowed investigators to locate him in the vicinity of the prison. Following the arrest, he was taken into custody by the State Police to complete legal formalities.
