Luciano Frattolin shows no emotion in court during murder trial of daughter

Luciano Frattolin, 45, sat expressionless as the Essex County court in New York played video evidence of his repeated claims that his nine‑year‑old daughter, Melina Frattolin, had been kidnapped. Investigators had already presented photographs of Melina’s body, found covered in mud along Paragon Brook about eight miles off Interstate 87 near Ticonderoga, and phone‑location data confirming Frattolin’s movements.

Despite the forensic and digital evidence, Frattolin continued to describe a fictitious scenario involving a lake and houses along a trail. During the hearing he wore a white Tyvek suit, was chained to a bench, and repeatedly denied responsibility while state investigators questioned him about the inconsistencies in his statements.
