Luciano Hang addresses AI-generated misinformation and Havan expansion

Havan owner Luciano Hang has addressed the circulation of manipulated images and documents on social media. Hang stated that a photo appearing to show employees making a political gesture associated with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was created using artificial intelligence. He also denied the authenticity of a document alleging a political dismissal, clarifying that the individual mentioned is not an employee of the company. The company’s legal department has taken measures regarding the spread of this content.

Separately, Hang spoke to 200 new employees at the upcoming Havan store in Londrina, Paraná. During his address, he emphasized the importance of continuous learning and studying successful individuals. The new Londrina location is the 199th store in the chain, preceding the company’s goal of reaching 200 mega-stores. Havan plans to invest R$ 1.2 billion in expansion through 2026, with an average investment of R$ 100 million per new location.
