Luciano Hang purchases 1931 Mercedes-Benz for Casa do Consul museum in Brazil

Entrepreneur Luciano Hang, owner of the Havan retail chain, bought a 1931 Mercedes‑Benz 170 W15 that once belonged to Consul Carlos Renaux. The historic car, noted for its independent suspension and manual side signal lights called “bananinhas,” is being fully restored in Curitiba by the specialist firm Envemo By Phoenix. After restoration, the vehicle will join the collection at the Casa do Consul, a historic building in Brusque, Santa Catarina, which Hang recently acquired and is preparing to open to visitors. Hang said the acquisition “contributes to preserving the memory of Carlos Renaux” and aims to let the public learn about the city's early automotive heritage.
