Luciano Hang donates R$ 80,000 prosthesis to bricklayer in Santa Catarina

Businessman Luciano Hang has donated a prosthesis valued at R$ 80,000 to Douglas Ribeiro Costa, a 35-year-old bricklayer living in Laguna, Santa Catarina.

Costa lost his leg in a motorcycle accident at age 16 but continued working in construction, serving as a carpenter and most recently as a paver on the SC-108 highway. Hang decided to provide the high-quality equipment after seeing a news report by journalist Kelley Alves that highlighted Costa's hard work despite his physical limitations. The donation aims to provide the worker with increased mobility, dignity, and quality of life.
