Luciano Marangon reflects on Juventus career and Scudetto win

Former footballer Luciano Marangon has reflected on his professional career and key moments in Italian football history. During an interview with TMW Radio, Marangon detailed his early years in the Juventus youth system, where he won two Italian titles with the Primavera squad.

He recounted a pivotal decision during his late teens when Juventus management, specifically Giampiero Boniperti, proposed a loan move to Catanzaro. Marangon declined the offer because he wished to remain in Northern Italy, leading to his move to Vicenza. At Vicenza, he played alongside Paolo Rossi, helping the team achieve promotion to Serie A.

Marangon’s career also included successful stints at Napoli and Verona, where he won a historic Scudetto under manager Osvaldo Bagnoli. He concluded his professional journey at Inter Milan, noting that his retirement was influenced by a failed attempt to pursue footballing opportunities in England and New York.
