Luciano Soul, vocalist of Jazz Cinnamon, dies in Brazil

Luciano Souza, known professionally as Luciano Soul, the founder and vocalist of the band Jazz Cinnamon, has passed away at the age of 51. He died on Wednesday, September 2, in the Serra Gaúcha region of Brazil.

Soul was a prominent figure in the jazz and soul music scene of Rio Grande do Sul. Since forming Jazz Cinnamon in 2012, the group became a cultural staple in the cities of Gramado and Canela, performing at major events such as the Gramado Film Festival and the Canela Winter Season. In addition to his musical career, he worked as a radio announcer.

Funeral services began on Thursday at the Ecumenical Cemetery in Canela, with cremation scheduled for Wednesday. The municipal government of Canela issued a note of condolence, praising his captivating stage presence and marking his lasting impact on the local culture. He is survived by his wife and three children.
