Lucid and Bolt partner to deploy 25,000 autonomous robotaxis in Europe

Lucid and European mobility provider Bolt have announced a strategic partnership to develop and deploy a fleet of autonomous vehicles across Europe. The collaboration aims to introduce at least 25,000 self-driving Lucid vehicles, which will be bookable through the Bolt app.

The fleet will be built upon Lucid’s upcoming midsize platform and designed to meet SAE Level 4 autonomy standards, utilizing the Nvidia Hyperion computing architecture. Under the agreement, Bolt will own and operate the fleet, while Lucid will provide the vehicle platform and autonomous driving software.

While the companies are working together on vehicle requirements, safety systems, and passenger comfort features, they have not yet contractually finalized specific launch dates, target cities, or exact order volumes. Bolt has set a long-term goal of operating 100,000 autonomous vehicles on its own platform by 2035.
