Lucid Motors to debut in France by early 2027

Lucid Motors has announced plans to enter the French market in the first quarter of 2027. The expansion will include the rollout of the Air sedan and the Gravity luxury electric SUV. To support this launch, Lucid is partnering with the automotive distribution group Emil Frey France to develop a network of retail and service locations, with a goal of exceeding 16 partner sites across the country by the end of 2027.

The company is currently showcasing its vehicles at the Paris Motor Show. The Gravity SUV features a 900V architecture, an estimated range exceeding 740 km, and a design optimized for aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of 0.24. It is available in 5 or 7-seat configurations.

This move marks France as Lucid’s sixth European market, joining Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, and Belgium. The expansion comes as the manufacturer navigates shifting demand for premium electric vehicles while maintaining an existing presence in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
