Lucid rolls out Air UX 3.0 software update for Lucid Air

Lucid has announced the rollout of Air UX 3.0, a major software update for the Lucid Air that redesigns the vehicle’s interface, navigation, and multitasking capabilities. Drawing design elements from the newer Gravity SUV, the update introduces a redesigned home screen on the Cockpit Panel featuring swipeable cards for media, calls, and charging stops. A new Quick Controls panel allows drivers to access frequently used settings via a pull-down menu, aiming to reduce menu navigation.

Navigation improvements include customizable EV routing, which allows drivers to set preferences for specific charging networks, adapter compatibility, and minimum battery arrival levels. Additionally, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been expanded to cover the entire right side of the Cockpit Display.

While the update is delivered over-the-air for model year 2025 and newer sedans, owners of 2022, 2023, and certain 2024 models face a hardware requirement. In the United States, these earlier owners must pay $950 for an infotainment processor upgrade, including installation, to access the new interface.
