Lucie Bernardoni trial postponed to 2027 due to clerk strike

The trial of Lucie Bernardoni, facing accusations of ‘voluntary violence by ascendant’ against her minor daughter, has been postponed. Originally scheduled for September 29 at the Nanterre Criminal Court, the hearing was delayed due to a strike by court clerks, which left no clerks available to facilitate the proceedings.

The case originated from a complaint filed in late 2025 by Pedro Alves, the father of Bernardoni’s daughter, Lily. Alves alleged that the child was neglected and experiencing difficulties at school. During the hearing, the daughter's lawyer stated that the teenager had faced pressure from her mother and her entourage, and noted that the adolescent expressed a desire not to reconnect with her mother.

Lucie Bernardoni denies all accusations of violence. Her legal counsel has countered by accusing Pedro Alves of using their daughter in the dispute. As of the most recent update, no verdict has been reached, and the presumption of innocence remains in effect. The trial has been rescheduled for April 1, 2027.
