Lucija Mamić passes away at age 96

Lucija Mamić has passed away at the age of 96. Her funeral is scheduled to take place on August 18 at the Mirogoj cemetery in Zagreb.

Her sons, Zdravko and Zoran Mamić, are expected to be unable to attend the service. Both men currently reside in Bosnia and Herzegovina to avoid serving prison sentences handed down by the Croatian judiciary. Zdravko Mamić was sentenced to six and a half years in prison, while Zoran Mamić received a sentence of four years and eight months.

Their brother, Stojan Mamić, who is not a fugitive, may attend the funeral. The death has drawn public attention due to the legal circumstances preventing the brothers from being present for their mother's final rites.
