Lucinda Brand to extend cyclocross career with Baloise-Het Poetsbureau

Dutch cyclist Lucinda Brand has announced she will leave Lidl-Trek at the end of 2026 to extend her cyclocross career with Sven Nys and Baloise-Het Poetsbureau for two additional seasons.

Brand revealed that while Lidl-Trek offered her the opportunity to continue her road racing career, she chose to prioritize the cyclocross structure that supported her return to elite competition and two world titles. She cited loyalty to Nys and the Baloise-Het Poetsbureau team as primary factors in her decision.

Although she will continue road racing elsewhere starting in 2027, Brand intends to remain active in cyclocross through the 2027-2028 season. She noted that after her world title in Hulst, she realized her body could still handle the demands of the sport and that she still finds significant joy in racing.
