Lucio Mori, educator and cultural figure, dies at 80

Lucio Mori, a prominent educator, artist, and cultural figure in the Vallo di Diano region, has passed away at the age of 80. He died at the Polla hospital after being hospitalized for several days.

Mori was a long-time teacher at the Sala Consilina Primary School, where he influenced multiple generations of students. Beyond education, he served as a local city councilor in Sala Consilina and was a driving force in the local cultural scene. He founded and long presided over the cultural association ‘Allegracore’ and was recognized as a multifaceted artist involved in figurative art and writing.

Funeral services are scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 5, at 3:30 p.m. at the Church of San Pietro in Sala Consilina.
