Lucknow cafe owner dies after fall; family alleges murder

Police in Lucknow have launched an investigation into the death of Shiva Sharma, a 27-year-old cafe owner who died after falling from the fourth floor of the Avadh Green Apartments in the Hazratganj area.

Sharma’s mother, Ranjana Sharma, has accused his live-in partner, model Shraddha Dubey, along with her sister Rashmi Dubey, a driver named Danish, and an associate named Adil, of murder, blackmail, and physical abuse. The family alleges that Sharma was held captive and brutally assaulted before being thrown from the building. They claim his body showed signs of severe violence, including a broken jaw, fractured ribs and legs, bleeding from the ears and nose, and cigarette burns.

The family further alleges that Sharma had been subjected to harassment and blackmail regarding private videos for several months. While the police have registered a case based on these complaints and are reviewing CCTV footage from the apartment complex, the exact circumstances of the fall remain under investigation.
