Lucknow Car Fire Leaves Driver Burned to Bones on Sitapur Highway

On the night of August 7, 2026, a car parked on the Sitapur Highway near the Bakhshi Ka Talab area of Lucknow burst into a fierce blaze. Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to extinguish the flames, but the vehicle was reduced to ash and only the skeletal remains of the occupant were recovered. Police recovered the driver’s body, which was described as a charred skeleton, and began a forensic investigation. The car, a Maruti Zen, was registered to Alamash Hak, the son of Hamidul from Khurram Nagar, and authorities are probing whether the fire was accidental or a deliberate act of homicide. SP Vikas Kumar Pandey informed that the victim’s family has been notified and that CCTV footage from the highway is being examined for clues.
