Lucky Luke celebrates 80th anniversary with new comic

The iconic comic character Lucky Luke is celebrating 80 years since his first appearance in the 'Spirou Almanach 1947' in November 1946. To mark the milestone, a special anniversary edition titled ‘Heiliger Lucky!’ is scheduled for release in Germany on November 3.

The new volume, printed by Mohn Media in Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia, utilizes the traditional 19th-century Wild West setting to address contemporary themes. The storyline includes encounters with characters promoting conspiracy theories, such as 'Flat Earthers' who claim the earth is flat and suggest the government is hiding the truth, as well as reflections on the rapid spread of misinformation through modern communication networks.
