Lucy Spraggan credits Rylan Clark for help after 2012 sexual assault

Singer Lucy Spraggan has shared details regarding a sexual assault she experienced by a hotel porter during her time as a contestant on the ITV talent show ‘The X Factor’ in 2012.

Speaking on the ‘We Need To Talk Full Circle’ roundtable, Spraggan credited fellow contestant Rylan Clark for his crucial assistance during the incident. Spraggan recalled being unconscious in her hotel room after a night of heavy drinking when Clark checked on her and discovered she was unresponsive.

According to Spraggan, Clark prevented further interference by securing the door when the porter attempted to re-enter the room with a keycard. She noted that Clark helped preserve evidence by refusing to allow hotel staff or cleaners into the room, which ultimately enabled the police to identify the perpetrator.
