Ludhiana school bus crashes into electric pole, injuring children

A school bus carrying approximately 20 to 21 children crashed into an electric pole in the Aman Nagar area of Ludhiana, Punjab, on Tuesday. CCTV footage shows the BCM Arya School bus losing control after driving over a pile of sand, causing it to strike a pole with enough force to break it and drop high-voltage wires onto the vehicle.

Local residents assisted in rescuing the children through the bus windows and doors. Several children sustained injuries, some of which are reported to be internal, and they were transported to nearby hospitals. The driver fled the scene immediately following the collision and is currently being sought by police. Authorities are investigating the accident, citing speeding and driver negligence as likely causes.
