Ludhiana: Speeding Tata Tiago EV hits six vehicles, injuring five

A speeding Tata Tiago EV crashed into six vehicles on Bahadurke Road in Ludhiana, Punjab, on the afternoon of September 24. The incident, which occurred around 4:35 pm, was captured on CCTV footage.

The collision involved a bicycle, a motorcycle, an Activa scooter, and two e-rickshaws. The impact was severe enough to throw a motorcyclist approximately 30 feet into the air. One of the e-rickshaws overturned during the sequence of collisions. Five people sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Jatinder Pal Singh, an injured e-rickshaw driver, alleged that the vehicle was traveling at speeds between 100 and 120 kilometers per hour and suggested the driver might have been intoxicated. While these allegations are part of the ongoing investigation, they have not been independently confirmed. The Salem Tabri police have taken the driver into custody and are examining the CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident.
