Ludogorets misses European qualification for first time in a decade

Bulgarian champion Ludogorets Razgrad was eliminated in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League after a 0‑2 loss away to Hapoel Tel Aviv and a 2‑2 home draw. The defeat ends a ten‑year streak of participation in European group stages, the club’s last miss being in the 2015‑16 season.

The club, coached by German manager Thomas Reis, had entered the tie hoping to revive its form, but the aggregate 2‑4 result confirmed its early exit. Club director Angel Petrichev acknowledged the disappointment and the need for deeper changes within the squad.
