Ludogorets secures seeded spot in all stages of 2026‑27 UEFA Conference League

Bulgarian champions Ludogorets earned a place in the 2026/27 UEFA Conference League after a penalty‑shootout victory over Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the playoff round. The win, achieved after a 0‑0 draw in regular time and extra time, saw the "Eagles" triumph 3‑1 on penalties.

With a club coefficient of about 28,750, Ludogorets is ranked among the highest‑seeded teams in the competition. This ranking guarantees a seeded position in every phase – the second qualifying round, the third qualifying round and the playoff round – meaning they will face unseeded opponents and cannot be drawn against clubs from the same nation. The club therefore starts its European campaign on the main (or "basic") path of the tournament, avoiding the champions‑path drawn from higher‑ranked teams.

The club’s strong recent performances in European qualifiers, including runs in the Europa League group stage and a near‑miss in the Europa League playoff, have boosted its coefficient, ensuring a favorable draw throughout the qualification process.
