Lufkin Walmart hosts diaper drive and family resource fair

On Friday, August 7, the Walmart Supercenter in Lufkin, Texas, hosted the Celebrate Life Diaper Drive & Family Resource Fair. Representatives from the non‑profit Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin collected diapers, wipes and other baby supplies from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to support parents facing unexpected pregnancies and families with young children.

Lufkin Coca‑Cola provided free drinks and matched each donated item, aiming to fill a Coke truck. The local radio station KICKS 105, with host Danny Merrell, broadcast live from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees could also play games and win prizes, encouraging community participation and donations.

All services offered by the Pregnancy Help Center are free and open to anyone regardless of race, religion, age, marital status, education level or financial status.
