Lufthansa Boeing 787 makes emergency landing in Baku
A Lufthansa Boeing 787-9, flying from Frankfurt to Delhi, performed an emergency landing in Baku, Azerbaijan, following a technical malfunction. The crew of flight LH760 decided to divert over Turkmenistan after the aircraft's ADS-B position data became significantly erroneous, causing flight tracking services to briefly misplace the plane over the Caspian Sea.
The aircraft landed safely at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 23:26 local time. While airport authorities confirmed that all necessary safety measures were taken to ensure the security of passengers and crew, travelers reported being left without information for approximately 24 hours while the plane remained grounded in Baku.
