Lufthansa expands onboard dining options for Economy and Business Class

Lufthansa is expanding its Onboard Delights catering program to provide more dining options for passengers. Starting September 1, 2026, Economy Class passengers on short- and medium-haul flights of two hours or more will have access to five new hot meal pre-order options.

The new menu includes beef roll with potato gnocchi, teriyaki chicken, tortellini with tomato sauce and zucchini, Currywurst, and a cheeseburger. These meals must be pre-ordered between four weeks and 24 hours before departure.

Additionally, the airline is enhancing its Business Class service. The pre-selection of main courses, which was previously available on flights departing from Frankfurt and Munich, will be expanded to most long-haul flights returning to Germany, offering six main course choices.
