Lufthansa extends three executive board contracts amid stock pressure
Lufthansa has announced the extension of three executive board contracts. Chief Financial Officer Till Streichert has been appointed for an additional five years, serving until September 14, 2032. Chief Technology Officer Grazia Vittadini’s contract has been extended until June 30, 2030, at which point she will reach the company’s age limit for board members. Additionally, Chief Commercial Officer Dieter Vranckx has been retained until June 30, 2032.
Separately, Lufthansa’s stock has faced downward pressure in mid-September 2026, trading below 7.60 EUR. This follows the release of Q2 2026 financial results, which showed a revenue of approximately 9.0 billion EUR and an operating profit (EBIT) of around 600 million EUR. While these figures indicate an increase in revenue and operating margins compared to the previous year, market skepticism remains due to high fuel and personnel costs, as well as broader industry volatility.
