Lufthansa Group announces European network restructuring

Lufthansa Group has announced significant changes to its European flight network effective late October 2026. The restructuring involves shifting several mainline Lufthansa services to subsidiary carriers, including Air Dolomiti, Discover Airlines, and Lufthansa City.

Specific route transitions include: - Air Dolomiti will take over services such as Munich–Zagreb and Munich–Zurich. - Discover Airlines will assume various routes from Frankfurt and Munich, including destinations like Copenhagen, Lyon, Prague, and Reykjavík. - Lufthansa City will manage several routes from Frankfurt and Munich, including Amsterdam, Bucharest, Copenhagen, and Manchester.

Additionally, several routes will be discontinued starting October 25, 2026. These include Frankfurt–Nantes, Frankfurt–Trieste, Munich–Genoa, and Munich–Istanbul. Lufthansa will also temporarily cancel all service to and from Naples throughout November 2026 due to scheduled runway maintenance at the airport.
