Lufthansa Group delays Dubai flight resumption to November 2026

Lufthansa Group carriers Lufthansa, SWISS, and Eurowings have postponed the resumption of flights to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, until November 25, 2026. The decision follows the suspension of operations to the destination since March 2026, driven by the ongoing volatility and instability in the Middle East.

Previously, Lufthansa and SWISS had planned to restart services on October 25, 2026, while Eurowings was scheduled to return on November 1, 2026. The group stated that the safety of passengers and crew remains the top priority and that they are continuously monitoring the regional situation in coordination with relevant authorities.

For the 2026/2027 winter schedule, the group plans to offer up to 28 weekly flights to Dubai. This includes up to five weekly flights each from Frankfurt and Munich via Lufthansa, daily flights from Zurich via SWISS, and daily flights from Berlin via Eurowings. Additionally, Austrian Airlines is scheduled to begin five weekly flights from Vienna on December 12, 2026. Affected passengers will be offered flexible rebooking options or full refunds.
