Lufthansa launches direct Kuala Lumpur–Frankfurt service

Lufthansa has inaugurated a new year-round nonstop flight connection between Kuala Lumpur and Frankfurt, marking the airline's return to the Malaysian capital after a ten-year absence. The service operates five times per week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft equipped with the airline's new Allegris cabin.

The route is designed to facilitate connections through the Frankfurt hub to various destinations across Europe, North America, and other international markets. The aircraft configuration includes 287 seats distributed across three classes: 28 in business class, 28 in premium economy, and 231 in economy.

This expansion strengthens the link between Malaysia and Europe, specifically targeting business, investment, and leisure travel. Lufthansa noted that Germany is Malaysia's most significant trading partner within the European Union. With this launch, Lufthansa becomes the third European carrier to offer nonstop flights to Kuala Lumpur, joining British Airways and Turkish Airlines.
