Lufthansa Technik and Emirates extend A380 maintenance deal to 2030

Lufthansa Technik and Emirates have extended their multi-year agreement for the base maintenance of the Emirates Airbus A380 fleet through 2030. The contract ensures that Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) will continue to perform heavy checks on the airline’s flagship double-deck aircraft.

Maintenance is currently being conducted at LTP’s facility in Manila, which utilizes two dedicated base maintenance lines for Emirates. As part of the expanded deal, Emirates will serve as the official launch customer for LTP’s new state-of-the-art facility at Clark International Airport once it becomes operational.

This agreement is noted as one of the largest by value in the history of Lufthansa Technik Philippines. Since 2023, the Manila facility has completed more than 30 A380 checks for Emirates, the world’s largest operator of the aircraft type.
