Lufthansa to launch nonstop Columbus to Frankfurt flights
Lufthansa has announced the launch of a new nonstop transatlantic service connecting Columbus, Ohio, to Frankfurt, Germany. Scheduled to begin on May 5, 2027, the route will operate three times per week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
This service marks the first intercontinental nonstop flight offered from John Glenn Columbus International Airport. The new route aims to connect the Central Ohio region directly to Lufthansa’s primary European hub, providing travelers with access to a broader global network. The aircraft will feature the Lufthansa Allegris cabin product, offering Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes.
The expansion comes as John Glenn International Airport continues to grow its international offerings, following recent announcements of new services to Punta Cana and Puerto Rico. The airport is also slated to open a new terminal in 2029.
