Lugano authorities ban five people from municipal saunas
Five individuals in Lugano have been issued formal warnings banning them from using municipal saunas and public facilities following an incident at an indoor pool.
The group was discovered by emergency responders in January after an emergency button was accidentally pressed during a group sexual encounter. Responders, who were alerted to check for medical distress or individuals trapped in the sauna, encountered the group instead.
The Mayor of Lugano characterized the incident as a serious act that should not occur in public or accessible spaces, stating that the warning was issued to prevent future occurrences in municipal structures.
