Luggage stolen from graduation trip bus near Ingeniero White
A group of students traveling to San Carlos de Bariloche for a graduation trip suffered a significant luggage theft near Ingeniero White, Argentina. The incident occurred around 10:15 PM on a Monday as the bus was moving at low speed through the Guanaco railway crossing.
Criminals on foot and motorcycles managed to force open the bus's luggage compartment while the vehicle was in motion. Five suitcases belonging to students from Oriente and Orense were stolen. The theft was discovered approximately six kilometers later when the bus came to a halt.
The economic impact is substantial; one suitcase alone was valued between 5 and 6 million pesos, containing new clothing, footwear, personal care items, and electronic devices. As a result, the affected students had to continue their 30-hour journey wearing only the clothes they had on at the time of the robbery.
