Lugo celebrates Francesco Baracca Museum centennial with book launch

As part of the centennial celebrations for the Francesco Baracca Museum, a book presentation titled ‘Un cavaliere del cielo’ will take place on October 17 at the Fabrizio Trisidi Library in Lugo.

Written by Alessandra Povia Valdimiro, the book explores the life and military exploits of her grandfather, Filippo Valdimiro, a cavalry captain and aviator who died in combat during World War I. The work also highlights the figure of Francesco Baracca, a fellow aviator and comrade who served with Valdimiro in the Royal Italian Army prior to the Great War.
