Lugo children hospitalized after finding pills on bus

Five seven-year-old children were taken to the Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti in Lugo after finding white pills on a bus during an excursion. The children initially mistook the pills for candy, and at least one child reportedly sucked on them.

The children were kept under medical observation for several hours, though none presented symptoms. The bag containing the pills has been handed over to the National Police to determine the exact substance. While authorities suspect the pills may be MDMA (ecstasy) due to their appearance and markings, official confirmation is pending toxicological analysis.

Investigators believe the bag may have been left behind by a previous passenger on the bus.
