Lugo faces storm damage while Santa Rosa and Guatemala City advance infrastructure

Severe weather and infrastructure developments are impacting several regions. In Lugo, Spain, an intense thunderstorm caused widespread damage to the electrical grid, disabling traffic lights and public lighting. Emergency services, including firefighters and local police, are working to clear fallen trees and restore services in areas such as Fingoi and Montirón.

In Galicia, heavy storms recorded hundreds of lightning strikes, particularly in Ourense and Dozón, though reservoir levels in Vigo remain a concern despite recent rainfall.

In Santa Rosa, Argentina, the provincial government has completed a major road connectivity project on the Juana Azurduy corridor. The investment, part of a larger 26 billion peso plan, includes the installation of 125 LED luminaires to improve nighttime safety and urban integration near the Hospital René Favaloro.

Meanwhile, in Guatemala City, the municipality has reached 76% completion of its smart traffic light project, with 388 intersections now active to improve vehicular circulation across various zones.
