Lugo police recover camper stolen in 50,000-euro bank transfer fraud

Italian State Police have recovered a camper worth approximately 50,000 euros following a fraudulent sale in which the buyer failed to deliver a promised instant bank transfer. The victim, who filed a report with the Modena police, had completed the transfer of ownership and handed over the vehicle after a woman claimed the payment had been sent.

The owner later discovered the same vehicle listed for sale on an online website for 27,000 euros, with Lugo listed as the location. Following this discovery, officers from the Lugo Police Station located the vehicle parked in a local parking area.

After consulting with the public prosecutor, authorities carried out a preventive seizure of the camper and returned it to the legitimate owner. Investigations are ongoing to identify the person responsible for the alleged fraud.
