Lugoj advances urban planning and smart transport investments

The municipality of Lugoj is advancing several local development and infrastructure projects. The Lugoj Local Council has scheduled an ordinary meeting to discuss 11 decision projects, which include urban planning approvals, budget execution reports, and the designation of legal representation for ongoing court cases.

In a separate effort to modernize public transport, the Lugoj City Hall is preparing to install new smart bus stations. The investment, valued at approximately 2.5 million lei, is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The project includes digital display panels, mobile applications for travelers, and a digital dispatch system to monitor bus routes and traffic. Currently, work is focused on preparing concrete platforms and electrical connections required for the installation of the stations.
