Lui Rabello featured in TV Brasil musical reality show

The musical reality show ‘Duelo de Guitarras’ on TV Brasil is highlighting the journey of veteran guitarist Lui Rabello. A former member of the band for the television program ‘Altas Horas’ for 16 years, the Bahia-born musician is competing against younger artists.

During the competition, Rabello has faced various musical styles, including bossa nova, jazz, baião, and xote. In the semifinals, she chose xote for a duel against Lucas Moscardini, who performed blues. Rabello noted that competing with younger musicians has pushed her out of her comfort zone and provided new energy.

Her musical strategy involves incorporating elements of Northeastern Brazilian music, such as melodies from the Recôncavo Baiano and the sertão, into her performances. The 16-episode series features six guitarists and includes mentors and judges to evaluate technical precision and creativity.
