Luigi Di Liegro: Edict published for beatification cause

The edict for the beatification and canonization process of Luigi Di Liegro has been officially published. Di Liegro was a Roman priest and the first director of Caritas Roma.

Signed by Cardinal Vicar Baldassarre Reina, the edict invites the faithful to submit any information to the Diocesan Tribunal of the Vicariate of Rome that may support or oppose the reputation of holiness of the Servant of God. Additionally, individuals in possession of any of his writings that have not yet been acquired by the Postulation are requested to submit them to the Tribunal.

Di Liegro, who passed away in Milan on October 12, 1997, is recognized for his ministry focused on addressing existential poverty and promoting charity as an inseparable dimension of evangelization and justice.
