Luigi Ridolfi Airport celebrates 90th anniversary in Forlì

The Luigi Ridolfi Airport in Forlì celebrated its 90th anniversary with a large-scale event that drew between 9,000 and 10,000 attendees. The celebration featured a variety of historical aircraft, including the Caproni Ca. 3 I-Zana, the Spad S. XIII I-Jona, and the Fokker Dr. I M I-Lync.

In addition to the aircraft displays, the event included exhibitions curated by the Arma Aeronautica di Forlì association, workshops, and activities for families and children. Local officials, including Forlì Mayor Gian Luca Zattini, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, emphasizing the airport's vital connection to the local territory.

Management representatives noted the airport's economic importance, stating that the facility currently employs 400 people across 25 different companies. The event aimed to bridge the airport's historical legacy with its future prospects in aviation and professional training.
