Luigi Zeno wins Best Young Actor at Corto Flegreo Film Festival
Naples-based actor Luigi Zeno has been named Best Young Actor at the sixth edition of the Corto Flegreo International Film Festival. The award recognizes his lead role in a short film focused on the social issue of bullying.
Zeno, 19, has seen a rising career with recent involvement in the Netflix series ‘Minerva – La Scuola’ and upcoming projects such as ‘Trastevere Blues’. The Corto Flegreo festival aims to promote cinema, culture, and talent within Southern Italy.
In a related cinematic context, the film ‘Criature’, now available on Netflix, explores social intervention in Naples. Directed by Cécile Allegra and starring Marco d’Amore, the film is inspired by the life of Giovanni Savino, a street pedagogue in the Barra district who worked to rescue minors from illegal labor and drug environments through education and community engagement.
