Luino Councilor proposes measures to boost cancer screening participation

Marco Massarenti, a municipal councilor and health delegate for Varese and its province, has submitted a motion in Luino to increase participation in oncological screening programs. The proposal aims to support programs organized by ATS Insubria and ASST Sette Laghi.

The motion suggests several concrete measures to improve early diagnosis, including sending SMS or email reminders to supplement traditional postal invitations. Additionally, Massarenti proposes utilizing telemedicine and teleconsultation to assist patients in peripheral areas or those with mobility issues. The plan also emphasizes building a local network of information through collaboration with general practitioners, pharmacies, and community associations.
