Luino launches ‘Politiche da Bar’ meeting series

A new series of community meetings titled ‘Politiche da Bar’ is launching in Luino, Italy. The initiative, a collaboration between Giovani Democratici, Partito Democratico, and Italia Viva, aims to foster informal discussions on current political and social topics through a format that combines depth with conviviality.

The inaugural session, scheduled for September 9 at the Bistrot delle Conti, will focus on ‘depaving’. This urban planning trend, which is gaining traction across Europe, involves replacing traditional road paving with permeable, eco-friendly materials to restore green spaces and soil permeability to urban environments. Architects Francesca Porfiri and Mauro Rivolta will lead the discussion, exploring how these sustainability practices can impact both large cities and local communities.
