President Luis Abinader inaugurates infrastructure projects in Dominican Republic
Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader has inaugurated several infrastructure projects aimed at improving regional connectivity and public services. In Espaillat, the Las Espinas-Jamao al Norte road was rehabilitated, a $6.3 million project funded by the European Investment Bank that includes 5.8 kilometers of road and three resilient bridges designed to withstand climate change.
In Peravia, the President inaugurated the Los Hierros and Galeón bridges, along with 12 kilometers of paved streets, to facilitate the transport of agricultural products. Additionally, the Nelson Mateo baseball field in Pizarrete was opened after 26 years.
In San Cristóbal, Abinader met with students and announced that the San Cristóbal Traumatological Hospital will be inaugurated on November 6. He also noted an agreement with Ingenio CAEI to expedite land titling for 6,000 to 7,000 properties in the Yaguate area. Other regional developments include the start of construction for the Marino G. Matos sports center in Barahona.
