In a separate gesture of solidarity, Gleyber Torres used the MLB ‘Player Weekend’ to honor the victims and heroes of the earthquake that struck La Guaira, Venezuela. Torres wore custom spikes featuring designs of a human chain, the Venezuelan flag, and messages of support such as ‘Venezuela, estamos contigo’ to commemorate those affected by the tragedy.
