Luis Caputo travels to Bangkok for IMF and World Bank meetings
Argentine Economy Minister Luis Caputo is traveling to Bangkok, Thailand, to participate in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. Accompanied by Economic Policy Secretary José Luis Daza, Caputo is scheduled to engage in several bilateral meetings and panel discussions.
Caputo's agenda includes meetings with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, and Inter-American Development Bank President Ilan Goldfajn. He is also set to participate in meetings with Latin American counterparts and the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.
Notably, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will not attend the assembly due to domestic commitments in the United States. The U.S. delegation will instead be led by Deputy Secretary Francis Brooke and Under Secretary for International Affairs Erin Browne.
