Luis Carranza Educational Institution study examines adolescent HIV prevention knowledge
A study conducted at the Luis Carranza Educational Institution in Ayacucho in 2024 examined the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents regarding the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV-AIDS.
Research involving 123 high school students found that 49.6% possessed a medium level of knowledge, 30.1% had a high level, and 20.3% had a low level. Regarding attitudes toward prevention, 49.6% showed acceptance, 30.9% showed inference, and 19.5% showed rejection. The study concluded there is a moderate and significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitudes held by adolescents toward STI and HIV prevention.
