Luis Chanlatte releases book on Dominican Olympic movement

Luis Chanlatte, Secretary General of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) and President of the Dominican Wushu Federation, has released his sixteenth book, titled ‘El Olimpismo Dominicano: crisis, reformas y esperanza’ (Dominican Olympism: crisis, reforms and hope).

During the book launch held at the COD's Juan Ulises García Saleta event hall, Chanlatte addressed the need for reflection and renewal within the national sports movement. He noted that many current leaders are nearing the end of their terms, making it essential for new generations to prepare for upcoming responsibilities. The 137-page work explores the history, challenges, and opportunities of the Olympic movement in the Dominican Republic, while advocating for unity and the strengthening of national sports through reform and shared values.

COD President Garibaldy Bautista attended the event, praising the initiative for its contribution to the history and enrichment of the Olympic movement.
